Following his Sunny Day, JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong will be releasing Butterfly ahead of his album reveal.

On October 17, C-JeS Entertainment announced that the official date of release for Kim Jae Joong’s first album, WWW: Who, When, Why will be October 29. Ahead of the album release, Kim Jae Joong will be unveiling another pre-released song.

The song will be Butterfly, which has a simple melody that anyone can sing along to with a touch of Korean rock. Kim Jae Joong personally participated in the writing of the lyrics, pouring his passion into the song.

Butterfly will be pre-released on October 23.

Jaejoong works with various artists such as Takuro from Japan's legendary band GLAY as well as Yoon DoHyun, the pride of Korean rock. Features from Blackstreet's award winning composer D.Brown, metal band PIA's drummer Hyesung,  guitarist Hullang, and Bassist KiBum, as well as B2ST's Yoon DoHyun and veteran singer Ha DongKyun add to the expectations of this album. Kim Jaejoong himself participated in writing the lyrics to 10 of the 13 songs, showcasing his own thoughts and emotions playing delicately off a common theme of love.

Shinhwa’s Kim Dongwan, leaves Shinhwa Broadcast and to focus on group Shinhwa’s full album and promotions as an actor



"Shinhwa" Kim Dongwan has left JTBC’s "Shinhwa Broadcast".



Kim Dongwan will be leaving JTBC’s “Shinhwa Broadcast”, which will air this November, and will meet fans as an actor for the time being.

What made Kim Dongwan decide to leave “Shinhwa Broadcast”, was the judgement that it was tiring, both mentally and physically, to have been making fixed appearances on a variety programme while he was concurrently carrying out Shinhwa’s group activities and promotions as an actor.

Regarding this, Kim Dongwan seeked the understanding of the Shinhwa members and the producers, and has decided to leave “Shinhwa Broadcast” season 2, that will start airing on 3rd November.

On this, a representative from Liveworks Company said, “In order to show a better side of himself, Kim Dongwan reluctantly left ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’. Kim Dongwan is immensely apologetic towards the Shinhwa members as well as the fans who have been waiting for ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ as well,” adding, “Although Kim Dongwan will not be making a fixed appearance on ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’ all year round, he’ll be even more focused on Shinhwa’s next year’s 12th full album comeback, in accordance with Shinhwa’s 16th anniversary, and will continue to repay as actor Kim Dongwan, so please watch over him warmly.”

Kim Dongwan will once again be showing his transformation as an actor through musical “Le Passe-muraile”, with him in the lead role as “Dutilleul”, which will be playing at the Daehakro Arts Centre, Hongik University, Seoul, from 13 November (Wed) till 26 January (Sun), and will return to the music industry through Shinhwa’s 12th full album next year first half of the year.

In an interview with Newsen, Jonghyun revealed the behind-the-scenes story of his self-composed track, "Gloomy Clock."

"Initially, it was a song written by me, for me. IU and I talk to each other about music quite often. I thought of asking about how to move forward with the song's composition, so I passed it to her. The next afternoon, IU asked me to sell the song to her. It really is good luck."

As with the song's title, the word 'gloomy' makes a total of 20 appearances in the song. Jonghyun said, "This song was written in two, three hours. I was getting a little depressed due to my insomnia, so I wrote down all the things that had happened that day; which is why the lyrics are similar to that of a diary entry."

Jonghyun further expressed, "This song wasn't written with the intention of making the listener depressed. It is a song for one to let go of the blues, to 'wait in patience, and everything will be alright.' It is a story to comfort oneself."

As reported previously, "Gloomy Clock" has been highly praised by Yoon Jongshin and is well received by netizens and fans of IU and SHINee alike.

SHINee will be releasing their 5th mini album, entitled "Everybody". The contemporary group started their promotions for the new release on M Countdown, showcasing performances of the title track, "Everybody", and accompanying R&B mid-tempo ballad, "Symptoms".


The title track "Everybody" is a tune that anyone can hum along to. The song blends easy melodies and funky rhythms, and can be classified under the "complextro" genre. The lyrics for "Symptoms" were penned by Jonghyun and produced by The Underdogs. The track was revealed through a lyric video and has won many hearts over with its strong beats and vocal harmonization.

The new mini album will contain a total of 7 new tracks recorded over the past year, and will be available both online and offline on October 14th.

On October 11, the Ministry of Science, ICT And Future Planning announced a new law that will see old style wireless home phones being banned starting from January 2014 with fines for continued usage of approximately USD$1866. The news has caused some concern amongst the public and SHINee’s Jonghyun also lashed out at the new law on his Twitter account.

Following the announcement, SHINee’s Jonghyun went on his Twitter to express his anger towards the new law. He starts off by saying “They say you can’t use wireless phones starting from January next year. They say even picking up a call with a phone will result in a $1866 fine. I’m flabbergasted. They say that this is an issue because it clashes with the LTE Spectrum or so they say. They say that there are still 100,000 people that use these phones. I hope no one gets fined because they were unaware of this.”

SHINee’s Jonghyun however becomes a bit more heated in his next tweet where he begins to state “What is this…Is this a law that doesn’t think about the people and just thinks about the companies… I’ll inform people about this law that comes into effect in 2 months time… Amongst the people I know, I was the only one that knew about this. If the law is being changed then isn’t it customary to let all the users know.”

He continues on in his next tweet, “I was talking about wireless phones used at home~! Hmm… looks like we have to be careful about riding bikes as well, the bike-only roads might suddenly become illegal to use one day and I could end up getting fined without knowing!”

SHINee’s Jonghyun continued to express his displeasure, “If people that didn’t know about this used their wireless phones next January… You’ll be seeing losses as great as if you fell for a new type of voice phishing scam. $1866! I’m expressing myself a bit aggressively in the hopes that lots of people talk about my tweets and find out about this. Please understand ^^.”

The new law will see the use of older style wireless home phones using the 900Mhz radio spectrum banned due to the spectrum potentially causing interference with KT’s 900MHz LTE-A radio spectrum. This new law will primarily affect users using wireless phones produced before 2006 with more recent phones running on the 2.4GHz and 1.7GHz spectrum being unaffected by the change.
